Conor Johnston

I am the Team Lead for Quantum Recruitment at Barrington James. I started our quantum recruitment team four years ago, building up our European team to three consultants, and transitioned 18 months ago to build out our North American quantum recruitment team, where we also now have three consultants.

We support staffing for Contract and Permanent hires and operate across the full suite of quantum technologies, including computing, sensing, communication, networking, and cyber security. Within quantum computing specifically, we support hires across the full stack, ranging from Quantum Software Developers, Quantum Algorithm Developers, Compiler Engineers, Quantum Hardware Engineers, Project Managers, Error Correction specialists, and supporting roles such as RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Developers, and much more.

Everyone in the team has a specialist modality, and we have expert consultants on Superconducting, Ion Trapping, Cold Atoms, Neutral Atoms, and Photonic hardware platforms. My specific focuses are on Superconducting and Neutral Atom Hardware, as well as quantum error correction and algorithms.
