We live in an ever-changing world and as we approach the turn of the decade, the ability to anticipate has never been more valuable. What is it to anticipate? I feel the only way to learn is to look at examples of visionaries who truly have the hindsight to look at what is probable, act on it and then reap the rewards. The well known are easy to admire but hard to imitate, Steve jobs changed the world with one sentence “1,000 songs in your pocket”. Thrusting apple into a crowded, competitive market but with one distinct advantage, he had already envisioned an all-encompassing device that has changed the way we live, from listening to music and paying at the store to Face Timing friends and family on the other side of the world. He is not the only one Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, all great visionaries who repeatedly prove their ability to anticipate, by being the first to breach new markets and take calculated risks to breed success.

This may be hard to imitate however not impossible, after all it was only a little over a year ago that thousands of everyday people like you and I were riding the crypto currency roller coaster, everyday people taking that same calculated risk and gaining that same reward. For me anticipation is making the most out of every situation, reading your environment and placing yourself in positions that best suit advancement, “right place at the right time”.

You may ask why a recruiter is talking about anticipation when all he needs to do is place people into jobs?
