Life Sciences is changing and being disrupted. In the past 5 years the amount of Life-Science start-ups has grown by 50% in the UK alone. The ability to bring an idea to life has meant that we have quickly seen advances in new areas that are geared towards improving the lives of those around us, but where has this come from? Technology!
The wave of investments from different ventures has seen the Life Science industry follow suit with a huge about of money being pumped into Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotic Technology as they look to improve processes internally and push the boundaries of discovery.
Companies that have the agility and enablement, who are able to react, will not only put themselves in a competitive advantage but move to a customer centric approach, delivering developments and changes that affect our lives way before the others.
Over the last 18 years, Barrington James have used their experience in the Life Science industry to support clients and create opportunities for thousands of candidates across the globe and as the industry adapts, as do we. We have seen these changes coming, seen that our clients were starting to invest heavily within AI and to ensure that we continue to be best placed to support them with their recruitment needs, not only now but long into the future, the start of 2020 saw the Barrington James AI Division born.
Lead by Richard Stevenson, who has spent over 10 years working with some of the most cutting edge technology teams across multiple vertical markets, he has experience of working with start-ups and multi-national companies, the focus always on the leading tech and what the client is looking to achieve from it. ‘The Life Science industry is a big prospect for me due to the amount of benefits that can be had from technology. What personally excites me is that these benefits will not just improve our client’s bottom lines but that it will directly impact the lives of people across the globe as we move into a customer centric era.
We focus on candidates that have a passion for improving the lives of others, we work with candidates who are not only cutting edge Technologists but have an academic of commercial background within Life Sciences.
We’re already supporting and have seen a number of successes with clients who want to advance diagnostics, research new projects, accelerate drug development or improve their logistics processes, all of which want to utilise new technologies to achieve this. However, myself and the team understand there is still a lot more to come and we want to be best placed to support you however you’re looking to leverage Artificial Intelligence.’
