Job Description

I am collaborating with a very exciting, incredibly well backed, start up, Biotech company with offices in Amsterdam and Zurich

I am seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join their exciting team. They are building a AI Data Platform to allow doctors to access medical data quicker, therefore speeding up decision making processes for Cancer treatment/diagnosis.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive the advancement of cutting-edge medical AI services via adept software engineering.
  • Execute comprehensive applications spanning from back-end elements (such as APIs and data interfaces) to front-end components (including user interfaces).
  • Take charge of technical projects, guiding them from the initial design phase to successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the management of development infrastructure vital for web projects, encompassing hosting, repositories, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams, engaging closely with data engineers, machine learning engineers, UX designers, medical experts, and regulatory specialists.
  • Quickly prototype solutions to facilitate agile iteration and feedback, streamlining the design and development processes.

 

Background

  • Experience with orchestration tooling: Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with back-end tooling: Python and Flask.
  • Experience with front-end tooling: JavaScript, Typescript and React.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks: pytest, Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, and tools for end-to-end testing (e.g. Cypress).
  • Experience with modern software development: git / version control and cloud engineering.
  • Understanding of Single Sign On (SAML and/or Oauth).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the development team and stakeholders.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in health tech.
  • Experience with working with Azure.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS and/or Storybook.
  • Experience with large language models and/or machine learning.
  • Experience working and interacting with the Open Source community.
  • Experience with implementing and advocating for accessibility best practices, ensuring that all web applications comply with relevant standards (e.g., WCAG)
  • Experience with “usability engineering” (IEC 62366-1) or “human-system interaction” (ISO 9241-210).
