Your Mission: Two biological challenges will be critical for your role.

  • Project Selection: Develop compelling biological rationales and strategic plans to identify and advance the most promising internal drug discovery initiatives.
  • Accelerated Progression: Design and optimize research workflows to efficiently achieve meaningful in vivo proof-of-concept (POC) results. Critically evaluate, select, and manage Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to ensure seamless project advancement and address any challenges that arise during the process.

How you will achieve this:

  • Vision and Execution: Guide strategic direction and actively participate in and contribute to complex operations directly alongside the technological platform and discovery program teams.

Ideal background:

  • Academic Background: Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Biology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or a similar field, complemented by at least a decade of industry experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals.
  • Professional Accomplishments: Demonstrated success in advancing multiple small molecule projects from initial target identification through to clinical trial initiation.
  • Scientific Knowledge: Strong grasp of crucial biological pathways, their relevance to specific medical conditions, and strategies for addressing unmet clinical needs.
  • Technical Proficiency: Practical laboratory skills to effectively oversee and collaborate with Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
  • Team Management: Proven ability to lead scientific teams in drug discovery programs and manage relationships with CROs is essential.
