Job Description

Life Science Consulting Director

As a Director in the Commercial Consulting practice, you will be a key member of the leadership team, leading client engagements and firm initiatives in areas such as:

  • New Product Planning
  • Transaction Advisory
  • Pricing & Market Access
  • Commercial Strategy & Transformation

You will collaborate with Senior Directors and sales teams to generate revenue, manage key account relationships, and build trusted advisory partnerships. You are expected to lead the delivery of consulting projects while also managing internal teams under a “seller-doer” model.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in life sciences consulting at a top-tier consulting firm in Japan, including senior client-facing roles.
  • Experience in commercial consulting projects, such as market entry strategies and opportunity assessment.
  • Strong project and team management skills.
  • Experience working on international projects with knowledge of the US, EU, and APAC markets.
  • MD, Masters/PhD in a life science field, or an MBA.
  • Bilingual in professional Japanese and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning and ensure quality delivery on client commitments.
  • Maintain and grow domain expertise to support client engagements and business development.
  • Inspire and coach teams to foster talent growth.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives, such as knowledge management, recruiting, and training.

About the Team:

You will work closely with a global team across the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, focusing on Real World Evidence and Epidemiology consulting projects.
