Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of components and systems for surgical instruments and robotic applications. You will play a crucial role in the preparation of calculations and drawings, as well as setting up robust manufacturing processes with our manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop components and systems for surgical instruments and robotic applications
  • Prepare calculations and drawings, and set up robust manufacturing processes
  • Conduct feasibility studies and produce functional prototypes
  • Carry out verification tests and transfer production to series production
  • Procure and manage components and services within development
  • Implement changes within the regulated medical environment

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship as basic technical training (e.g. technical draftsman or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar mechanical degree programs (no medical degree programs)
  • 3-5 years of experience in dealing with CAD/PDM tools (preferably Solidworks)
  • 3-5 years of experience in creating drawings according to ISO GP
  • 3-5 years of experience in carrying out analytical calculations
  • Successfully completed development projects (concepts, drawings, production, assembly, functional tests) (3-5 years of experience)
  • Ability to apply various manufacturing processes (e.g. sheet metal working, machining, casting, surface treatment, ...) (3-5 years of experience)
