Job Description
My clients are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health Economic Modeller with a background in health economics and extensive experience in economic modeling within a consultancy setting to join their team on a freelance basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement economic models to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of healthcare interventions
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and data analysis to inform economic models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of health economic modeling projects
- Provide expertise and guidance on economic modeling methodologies and best practices
- Present complex economic modeling findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to the publication of research findings in scientific journals and other relevant platforms
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Health Economics, Economics, or a related field
- Proven and extensive experience in conducting health economic modeling within consultancies and the healthcare industry
- Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g. R, SAS, STATA) and economic modeling software (e.g. TreeAge, Microsoft Excel)
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement mechanisms, and health technology assessments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
Day-to-day
- Collaborate with the research and analytics teams to identify key data sources and inputs for economic models
- Engage in project planning and coordination to ensure timely delivery of economic modeling projects
- Analyse and interpret economic modeling results to derive meaningful insights and recommendations
- Participate in discussions and brainstorming sessions to address methodological and technical challenges in economic modeling
- Stay updated on the latest developments in health economics and economic modeling methodologies through continuous learning and industry engagement.
