We are seeking a skilled IT Manager/IT Operations Specialist to oversee and manage IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless technology support within a dynamic and regulated environment. The role involves collaboration across departments to align IT services with organisational needs and reports directly to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
•    Manage and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and enterprise software, ensuring reliable operation.
•    Provide hands-on technical support to staff, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
•    Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure.
•    Administer backups, disaster recovery plans, and performance monitoring of IT systems.
•    Manage both on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure and external service providers.
•    Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks such as GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, HIPAA, or other industry standards.
•    Act as the primary system administrator in collaboration with external IT support teams.
•    Collaborate with internal departments, including R&D, QA, and finance, to align IT strategies with business goals.
•    Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
•    Monitor and manage IT budgets, ensuring responsible and strategic investments.
•    Lead and support IT audits as required.

Qualifications
•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
•    Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management or operations roles, ideally within regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or similar.
•    Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, including advanced SharePoint administration and permission management in an enterprise setting.
•    Proven experience with network management, server maintenance (physical and virtual), cybersecurity strategies, and cloud-based technologies.
•    Hands-on experience in managing IT infrastructure, monitoring tools, and IT service hardware.
•    Familiarity with conferencing technologies and audio systems is a plus.
•    Experience working within regulatory frameworks, including the development and editing of IT policies and procedures, is preferred.
•    Knowledge of GDPR and other compliance frameworks.
•    Proficiency in English (written and spoken) with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly. Fluency in additional languages, such as Italian, is preferred but not required.
