Principal Investigator – Neurology (Clinical & Research Focus)
Location: Utah
A leading clinical research organization is seeking a dedicated Principal Investigator (PI) to lead cutting-edge research while maintaining an active clinical practice. This role is ideal for a Board-Certified Neurologist with expertise in Alzheimer’s disease, movement disorders, and related neurodegenerative conditions. The successful candidate will split their time equally between clinical care and research, contributing to both patient treatment and the advancement of innovative neurological therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice (50%)
- Provide expert patient care in neurology, with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease, movement disorders, and related conditions.
- Diagnose, manage, and treat neurological disorders while integrating the latest research findings into clinical practice.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, neuropsychologists, and allied health professionals.
- Educate and guide patients and families on disease progression, treatment options, and clinical trial opportunities.
Research & Clinical Trials (50%)
- Serve as the Principal Investigator (PI) for clinical trials in neurodegenerative diseases, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Develop and execute research protocols, overseeing patient enrollment, study execution, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with sponsors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to drive high-quality research outcomes.
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Mentor junior investigators, fellows, and clinical staff involved in research activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MD, Board-Certified in Neurology.
- Strong clinical expertise in Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and movement disorders.
- Experience in clinical trials, research design, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to balance clinical care and research responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Utah.
