Senior Process Engineer

One of the most up-and-coming medical device companies in the Germany is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to play a key role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes from concept to production. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in semiconductor manufacturing and cross-functional collaboration to develop robust, scalable, and high-yield production processes for cutting-edge medical devices.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Process Development – Design and implement manufacturing processes that ensure scalability, reproducibility, and high yields.
• Production Experience – Drive end-to-end process development, from concept to full-scale production.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to optimize processes and integrate new technologies.
• Implementation and further development of production processes and manufacturing techniques (e.g. lithography, electroplating, etching, sputtering) to improve process stability and production performance
• Process Optimization – Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis tools to enhance process stability, improve yield, and ensure high CPK/PPK.
• Validation & Compliance – Perform process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP standard

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in process engineering, with a strong background in semiconductor manufacturing (mandatory).
• Technical Skills: Expertise in process validation, statistical analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with Electrospinning is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a data-driven approach to process optimization.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of FDA regulations, ISO standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Very good knowledge of German and English for communication in an international environment
