Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a leading organization in the medical device sector. This role is crucial for managing efficient production operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize production processes to meet key performance metrics.
• Oversee technical manufacturing processes, including casting, extrusion, heat treatment, and machining.
• Develop production plans, balancing resources, capacities, and delivery timelines.
• Implement Lean Management and Six Sigma methods for continuous improvement.
• Support validation and verification processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 13485 standards and collaborate with quality control for corrective actions.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and manage ordering processes.
• Lead and motivate the production team, ensuring high engagement and performance.
• Train staff on new procedures and industry regulations.
• Act as a liaison between development, procurement, quality assurance, and sales to support new product industrialization.

Ideal Candidate:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Production Technology, Medical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Alternatively, a technical qualification with relevant experience.
• Experience: Proven background in production management within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices preferred).
• Skills: Expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and quality assurance, with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Sage 100 ERP).
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Languages: Fluent in German and English.
