Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client is an innovative medical device company based in The Hague, Netherlands, focused on developing cutting-edge technologies for the healthcare industry. They are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the development of next-generation medical devices

Job Description:
As a Mechanical Engineer at our client's company, you will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of medical devices, working through the entire product lifecycle. You will be responsible for translating concepts into functioning designs while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work through the full product development cycle, from concept to prototyping and final manufacturing.
• Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings.
• Conduct testing and validation of mechanical designs to ensure reliability and safety.
• Collaborate effectively with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful product development.
• Identify and resolve engineering challenges, ensuring timely project delivery.
• Contribute to innovation and design improvements in a start-up environment.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the medical device or a closely related industry.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with the full development cycle of mechanical products, from initial concept through to manufacturing.
• Native Dutch speaker with excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and contribute in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
