Business Development Director – UK


We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Director with a track record of success in selling Digital Healthcare Services and Data.  The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, in a growing company at the forefront of digital messaging.

The Person

  • Proven track record of selling services into the healthcare/pharma industry
  • Degree or equivalent in a scientific/medical subject
  • High energy with drive and determination to close significant new business
  • Enthusiastic can do attitude and an overt passion to succeed
  • Team player but self-motivated, able to take ownership and to work autonomously
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills to create and deliver an effective sales strategy
  • Impeccable English language skills
  • Ability to speak and write in another European language an advantage

Responsibilities 

  • Manage all aspects of the sales life-cycle
  • Generate leads and fully explore all potential opportunities for new business
  • Undertake frequent travel throughout Europe to build close customer relationships
  • Effective communication with specialist knowledge of the company’s products and services
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, both remotely and face to face
  • Gain an excellent understanding of client requirements and tailor proposals and pitches to win the business
  • Open new accounts as well as grow and develop existing accounts
  • Attend exhibitions, workshops and other meetings to expand the network of customers and build the company profile
  • Manage sales prospects on a customer database
  • Provide market and competitor intelligence to support product innovation
