My client, a central laboratory is looking for a Contract Manager to strengthen the C&P team. This individual will manage the full process from beginning all the way through to Task Order and Change Orders. Ideally looking for someone with an autonomous approach to their work and is able to apply their communication, presentation, and organisational skills to this role. You must have knowledge of all contractual requirements for all our customers.

Role Outline:
Full management of the contract process for targeted clients with inclusion of internal stakeholders like BD, PM, Ops, Legal, Finance to fully prepare, review and negotiate contracts.

  • Throughout the negotiation phase, act as primary customer contact
  • Acting as an intermediary between the BDM, internal stakeholders and partners
  • Creating, negotiating and finalizing documents, including Confidentiality Agreements, MSAs, Letter of Intents, Start-up Agreements, Task Orders, Change Orders etc.
  • Follow up on the contracting process and ensure that all is in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and Customer specifications.
  • Preparation of budgets reflecting both our company and customer needs
  • Assure consistency of budgets
  • Plan and lead in pricing discussions
  • Keep track of all documents required during the initial phase of a clinical project awarded to the company
  • Ongoing proactive involvement with project management in review of project status
  • Ensure budget updates for ongoing projects by coordinating process control with the Finance and Project Management departments
  • Assist the Head BD and contribute in relevant workflow processes
  • Databases (Salesforce etc.)
  • Participate in the development of testing of tools and procedures
  • Participate in Customer meetings as necessary

  • Experience in the CRO business (preferably central laboratory services) is an asset

  • Organizational skills, with good time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
