The Hype

My client a globally aligned top CRO – are seeking a Business Development professional with extensive experience selling FSP models in statistics, programming, data management, and eClinical services to biotech and large pharmaceutical companies.

My client is a leading player in data sciences space and consistently beats out BPOs and other major CROs on very large FSP programs – their size within Clinical Analytics and technology offerings make for a compelling solution for our customers.

The successful individual will be working towards new Full Service Provider agreements and complex staffing models in Statistical Programming, Biostatistics and Data Management.

My client specializes in Clinical Development, Oncology, Devices & Diagnostics, Data, Analytics & Evaluation and Strategic Service Provision.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the identification of accounts which have the potential to become global key accounts.
  • Visit new and existing clients on a regular basis with the objectives of: 1) establishing credible client relationships 2) broadening our understanding of client requirements 3) and educating clients on my client’s services
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding: 1) potential studies 2) opportunities to submit proposals and budgets, 3) outcome of submitted proposals and budgets, and 4) feedback on non-awarded proposals
  • Assist with preparing and issuing accurate budgets and proposals in response to client request. This includes helping to gather necessary information from operational personnel and ensure the message to the sponsor remains consistent from business and operational contacts within my client
  • Generate opportunities for repeat business with key and core accounts
  • Develop appropriate development strategies for accounts and implement them in conjunction with the Regional BD team and operational heads

 

Requirements

  • BSc or BA degree in biomedical, related life science, or business-related discipline
  • Minimum 4+ years of clinical business development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the job
  • Proven record of successful business development within the CRO industry
  • Experience with technology/eClinical sales
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with outsourcing personnel in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries
  • In-depth understanding of the clinical trials process, as well as the different models of outsourcing and potential strategies that My client can offer a sponsor
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs
