Barrington James’ key client is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial and self-starting Senior Director Business Development to join a growing Business Development team to expand Global client base. A key player in medical device and diagnostic clinical development, with over two decades of proven experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior level BD professional to join a diverse BD team showing great results, with huge growth opportunity.

The Senior Director Business Development will promote, sell, and expand client base while fostering strong client relationships as well as act as a liaison between internal operations and external clients.


  • Create and execute business and marketing plans to achieve annual revenue and pipeline objectives;
  • Identify, together with the inside sales team, new market opportunities and potential new clients;
  • Successfully maintain and develop existing client relationships;
  • Facilitate strategic alliances with identified networks;
  • Manage and report business development key performance indicators.
  • Future mentoring/management once client base developed


  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years pharmaceutical/CRO sales experience
  • Medical Device experience essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time and prioritize activity.
  • Travel required.

Location: Home-based, anywhere in EU with travel frequency up to 30%
