londonOur Performance Coach at Barrington James is Nick Livings. Previously a recruitment consultant, Nick knows exactly how the process works, and knows how to implement the ‘Barrington James’ way of recruitment when working on-desk with our consultants.

Our billing managers can focus on their own desks, leading from the front. On top of this, it means that trainees can receive the development and attention that they need at this early, crucial stage of their careers.

Nick spends a lot of time doing one-to-one coaching sessions with our consultants. He listens in to calls whilst also providing immediate support, sometimes during the call. Nick also ensures that our classroom training, often carried out by Annie is then implemented on the floor.

Nick always highlights a consultants strong points and what they can improve on. Our market space is niche and we always strive to deliver a consultative approach when speaking to our clients and candidates.

We know that our classroom training is second-to-none, but on the flip side, having a performance coach like Nick ensures that we are covering the practical as well as the theory.

This is a role that is completely unique to our business, and spans across our European offices in the UK and Frankfurt.

It’s true that recruitment is tough. Having a performance coach will ultimately improve the service we provide to both clients & candidates, increase our staff retention and play a crucial part in our 30% year on year growth plans.
