Adam was introduced to the Senior JAPAC team last week and spoke to us at our Global HQ to delve into why he joined Barrington James and to discuss his plans for Singapore...
Why are you joining Barrington James?
The overall vision for the business is extremely exciting therefore to be part of that was very enticing and certainly something to thrive towards for myself but more importantly for the whole team. To be part of the global leadership team was also another key factor to join a growing brand. I sensed the cohesiveness therefore to be part of the team with everyone working towards the same goals & vision was too good to turn down. The Barrington James brand is globally strong, combine this with the potential across APAC within the Life Science industry makes the road map super exciting and if we fulfil our potential as an office then everyone will benefit career wise across the current team and for new joiners.
What do you bring to Barrington James?
With my background, one of my life passions is helping people grow their careers and watching all develop. I would hope that im seen as a supportive leader, honest and one who only wants the best for their staff. I am also a competitive person therefore to be the number one provider of life science talent is something we will thrive towards!
What are some interesting facts about yourself?
With regard to my recruitment career to date, I have lived & worked in four different countries. I've played cricket at Lords (home of cricket!), met my wife on a cricket tour (many years ago!) I have two daughters aged 12 & 11. My first sport love was table tennis and once had an England ranking at under 14 level! I support Ipswich Town for my sins!
What are your future plans for Barrington James?
I want to grow the business across the APAC region by maximising our potential to become the number 1 supplier of talent within the Life Science industry.
